Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor director, producer, playwright and professor at St. Thomas University). Anna Silk is child of a Briton as well as a Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. At the beginning of her career Anna was a part of a variety of commercials on television. In the month of November, 1999 Anna moved to Toronto in order to further develop her acting career, eventually shifting to Los Angeles, California, within the next decade. Seth Cooperman met Anna at a Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007 and the couple became engaged. Anna began her journey to becoming a Jewish woman in 2011, after she converted to Judaism. They were married civilly in December of this year. They then reaffirmed their vows in the Jewish ceremony held in Fredericton the month of April in 2011. Bo's same-sex relationship to Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was noted in the list of CNN's all-time Favorite TV Couples and named the Top Television Couple of 2013, by E! Entertainment Television. The success of the show resulted in Anna building a large followers on social media.
